Hultafors WETTERHALL Throwing Ax HB KY-1,6
- The edge is sharp, shiny and ready to use
- Leather ax sheath included
- American walnut wood handle, treated with linseed oil
This type of double-bladed ax was originally used by lumberjacks, who benefited from the ability to always have a sharp ax at hand. While they use one edge for tough jobs, they might be more careful with the other. Today it is mainly used in throwing competitions. This ax is named after Hults Bruk enthusiast Bo Wetterhall, the person who has served Hults Bruk longer than anyone else. Like all Hultafors® axes, the Wetterhall throwing ax is hand-forged and made from Swedish quality steel. As part of the head forging process, the steel ax head is struck 40-60 times, thereby increasing its density and ensuring a long service life.
